Indiana

Indiana was one of the earliest unions to respond to Abraham Lincolns request of 75,000 volunteers to put down the rebellion. The people who were suppose to go to the rebellion were sent home. So that means that 75,000 people were sent back disappointed. Indiana plays a heroic role in the civil war. They got this by the governor Oliver Perry Morton. He went against the law and got millions of dollars to get an army built for Indiana.
